eHealth Accelerator

FatWire and Element115 offer healthcare organizations an affordable way to implement consumer Web sites that are focused on attracting, converting, and retaining new patients. The eHealth Accelerator solution provides the tools and techniques healthcare organizations need to put persuasive architectures in place.

Speeds Deployment While Lowering Costs with Pre-built, Industry-specific Components eHealth Accelerator enables a healthcare organization to get a consumer Web site up and running quickly and cost effectively. eHealth Accelerator provides pre-built components that are based on 'best practices' of the Greystone.Net Health Library and content classification schema, and the expertise of Element115 and FatWire. Pre-built components can be re-used by healthcare organizations to compress the time and cost of deployment. They include the navigational elements, classification schemes, metadata definitions, templates, and validation tools needed to deliver the key aspects of a healthcare organization's Web site. Customers choose just those components and elements they want to use and modify them as appropriate.

Converts Consumers to Patients

The pre-built components that comprise the eHealth Accelerator are focused on converting Web browsers to patients. Each contains actionable content -- this means that as site visitors navigate through the content curriculum, they are presented with in-context action and communication options, such as Request an Appointment, Contact a Physician, Newsletter Subscription or Request More Information. This turns a static Web site into a personalized and interactive relationship-building tool.

Built on Market-leading Content Management System

The eHealth Accelerator utilizes FatWire Content Server as its content management foundation. FatWire Content Server provides all of the services needed to create, manage, store, and dynamically deliver all types of content to Web sites. Built on the industry-standard J2EE platform, FatWire Content Server adheres to corporate development standards and utilizes common technologies that developers understand. This platform also ensures that implementations will be scalable and robust.

Accurate and Up-to-date Health Information to Attract Patients

Greystone.Net is widely recognized as an industry leader in healthcare strategy consulting and health information. The eHealth Accelerator solution leverages Greystone's expertise in serving healthcare consumers online. The Greystone.Net Health Library is a license-based content service giving healthcare organizations a reliable source for accurate and up-to-date health information; this can be pre-loaded as an option with eHealth Accelerator. As this content is pre- classified using the Greystone.Net Taxonomy, it utilizes the keywords that consumers use to search the Web for health conditions. This helps boost a Web site's position in search engine rankings and attract more consumers to a site.

Leverages Industry Leading Taxonomy and Information Architecture

The Greystone.Net Taxonomy provides the functional design and information architecture necessary to guide patients from general health searches to the specific services offered by an organization. This is the information architecture underlying the pre-built components in the eHealth Accelerator. Knowing that the majority of consumers are looking for information based on a diagnosis, the Greystone.Net functional design and information architecture guide the site visitor from broad diagnostic category overviews to specific disease and condition information, to tests and procedures descriptions. As the site visitors navigate through health content curriculum, they are presented with context-specific actions to be taken. This is a critical component of attracting and converting Web browsers to consumers.

Simplifies the Early Phases of Site Design and Development

The eHealth Accelerator Standard Edition includes pre-built content management components that define content types common to healthcare Web sites, such as Physician Profiles and Clinical Trials. Non-technical users simply use pre-built templates to start populating these pre- defined areas. Eliminating much of the legwork associated with identifying content types and defining their attributes and relationships greatly reduces the time required to get a site off the ground. Content delivery components in the Standard edition provide common site functionality, pre-built to greatly compress the time and cost of site development. Customer Relationship components enable actions that convert browsers to patients and start laying the building blocks for patient retention. The eHealth Accelerator solution helps ensure that once a consumer Web site is successfully bringing in new patients, its architecture can be leveraged in future initiatives. FatWire Content Server provides a flexible and extensible foundation that can easily be expanded to meet future needs. The solution will also facilitate easy integration with partner portals, patient portals, or other clinical applications. This is a benefit of choosing a solution built on an open and extensible platform as opposed to a proprietary application.
